STeaDY is an emcee for the dangerous streets of St. Louis who later moved to the Bay Area to pursue his musical career. Branding his music “Banga Music”, STeaDy is setting out to make the kind of music that make people feel good.
1. What inspired you to get into hip hop?
S: “I was listening to lot of rap all my boys outside freestylin all day long. I was surrounded by it I had no choice but to like it or fall in love with it, and if you hear my music I’m sure you can tell I love it. There is a song for every emotion you feel and I wanted to be part of helping people feel that emotion or overcome it.”
2. If you were a super hero, what powers would you choose and what would be your name?
S: “Forget the name all I want to be able to do is be able to read minds. That’s a billion dollar man right there ..”
3. If you could deck a famous person in public and get away with it, who would it be?
S: “Ha, probably G bush…. Then locate John
McCain and do the same”
4. If you were approached to do a reality show, what would be the name of it?
S: “I would do Degrassi if I would get the buzz Drake got…but naw on a serious tip….I can’t call it I’m really not an actor but who can tell what I’ll do in future..”
5. Your girl caught you leaving the theater with another girl, give me your best lie.
S: “I just left promotional meeting….it went well”
6. What do you love and hate about hip hop?
S: “Really I love how hip hop brings people together of all races and places, it brings best out of people like creativity, hard work ethic, dedication, and etc. What I hate is all the politics and how most of the time your talent isn’t why you get that deal. Its just a shady biz hopefully I can shine that light…”
7. What’s the dopest shit about your city?
S: “Man STL is like no other city, we club to the sun up. People are real we not for that bull or the run around. We got so much home talent people haven’t even heard its like a sleep volcano waiting to erupt. They say Midwest don’t have a sound….but if you hear our city music you will soon know we got that sound and heat. St.Louis I put on for my city “
