Oh I’m so guilty of this, except it was four teenage girls and “Beez in the Trap” lol.. but honestly just life in general every kid is taught “If don’t have anything nice to say….” that needs to be removed from ‘How to be a parent 101′ pronto.
I am guilty of NOT being quiet LOL…my mouth is not on backwards and I am more than willing to get grimy with knuckleheads like the one described in the cartoon…great one Funkworm!!!
Re-blogged to The Hype Magazine Blog and of course The Urban Link blogs…
Good for you Jerry! We need more brave souls like yourself. You are a true hero! lol
It’s just so annoying and inconsiderate. Maybe I’m just getting grumpier as I get older!
The thing is, you never know who can whoop your ass, and easy they wanna fight. So you wanna be like dog..shutup, but is it worth running the risk of getting slapped? To most people it’s not lol.
P.S. you picked the perfect song for this too bro, everyone thinks they can sing that song lol
Good point, but if he’s singing “Crew Love”, I think I can take him.
Very relatable example to illustrate an illness that plagues our society. Respect. I feel like this concept extends far beyond its’ point, touching on art that degrades people. For example, those with a misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. message that we deem acceptable because it has a nice beat behind it. Or, we see it in the media – meaning someone important has endorsed it – so it must be okay to like it. Maybe I’m reading too far into it. But this is what came to mind.
Man, what gets me is as soon as the subway doors closed some dude comes up to me with a “ayo, my man. You like rap?”
That’s one of my pet peeves right there.
You should listen to the music *you like* because you like listening to it.
You shouldn’t listen to music in the hopes that it will make other people notice you.
I also get pissed off when I don’t speak up about this kind of thing though too. However, I’ve gotten better and found that it often helps to just tell people what’s up, honestly. Just tell ‘em they should turn their music down because it’s disrespectful to others around them. Some people actually don’t even realize they’re doing things like this, hard to imagine, I know, but it’s true!
Lol this shit is real on so many levels. As soon as I read the whole thing my mind went political wit it. It’s always the silent majority and a LOUD majority that fucks shit up for everyone – whether its religion, politics or a bus ride..
John Vietnam has gone overboard! literally.
But this cartoon was funny as all gitout! lol they make frikkin headphones…
Do you know what we call those kinda people? Yeah you guessed right, Sound Bastards!!
