“windows down but my my 3rd eye tinted” …clever ass line. This is a creative track that makes me curious as to what else Maxx Steel has cooked up. I think some things could have been done different sonically in the mix, especially the hook but then again this also sounds like one of those songs that sticks to you and all makes sense down the road. Good flow, unique track and overall useful contribution to this thing called hip-hop….

Ok, I may be partial to the song because Maxx Steel mentioned two L’s and “Momma Said Knock You Out”! =) Yes, I love LL Cool J! But, Maxx Steel has a powerful voice, nice flow and the beat is a head mover. With a voice like that, Maxx Steel must always have a beat to match it – strong, intense, pulsating, edgy and explosive. I’d love to hear more. And, it’s always fabulous when an artist does not limit himself or herself to one piece of the pie. Big ups to Maxx Steel for tasting all the fruits of his labor: music, poetry and production. Less bullsh**tn, More hustlin! Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

Maxx Steel has alot potential. This particular track probably does not show that potential in full. I love the idea of positive lyrics all day but the power of what he’s trying to say is lost in the one dimensional hook and I get the feeling that somebody forgot to add a track in on the final mix.

I think it’s a good idea not to drown the voice out with a whole lot of dramatic bells, whistles, and BASS but there has to be enough to keep the shoulders poppin’
